paddleshift
I am intending to build a zx10r powered mac1 or mnr inboard. If I fit the paddleshift should I still keep the gearlever in case the system fails ?
Is the paddleshift any good ? It appears popular but is it just a bit of flash.
Any thoughts or ideas welcome.
regards
Bob

A paddleshift and a gearlever often use the same components so there is no reason to keep both.
Usually the only people that do have both are the ones that are temporarily testing one after having the other for a while!

do you mean mechanical paddle shift or electric paddle shift?
if the former, then there's no point. if the latter, then I guess having a manual override in case the electric trickery goes bonkers is a good
idea.
I currently have stick, but have kliktronic unit to fit, but will be keeping the manual option in case of failure.

Whatever the mnr system is for £300. or similar but I have not researched them thoroughly. Hence the questions !!
Although I didn't realise that there were two types.

If the MNR one is the same as ours then it should be the cable operated one.
