escort engine VS type9
Hi, aybody who knows how to fix the clutch on a type9 gearbox when i use a escort engine? It seems that the "arm" doesnt travel far enough
to press on the clutch?

what clutch you using?i did the same as you with no probs,used EARLY seirra 1600 clutch(later clutch is bigger diameter)
who cares who wins

I'm installing escort rs 2000 16 v engine with MT 75 gearbox, and I have to extent the clutch bearing by about 27 mm.
Can't say for you're combination, but I think thay you have to extend the clutch bearing also.

I had the same problem until I fitted a capari release bearing, and cut and shut the lever slightly worked a treat.

Ok, so bearring is the eng. word for it!!!
I know what the problem is but not how to solve it in the best way.
AvonBelgium: How did you extend it, do you got any pictures?

Its from a XR3i -88 i belive it is a CVH
