Tyre compound choice

Which is the best tyre compound to have if you are running Toyo R888 or Yokohama A048 tyres. Car is used mostly on the road with the occasional blast around a track.

Would a medium compound be more than suitable or should I be going for the soft?

I prefer the R888, if you're using mostly for road then go for medium compound, soft will wear out far too quick.

R888 needs less heat so go for that one for the street.

the soft compund was never meant for street use really it was described to me by a toyo tech as a sprint tyre, one of the tiger factory cars tried it last season and it was so hot after 4 laps of lydden you couldnt touch it!
