Or possibly spent £15k, manufactured receipts for £35k with photoshop/john bull printing set, sell for £20k = £5k profit from someone who thought they
were getting a hard luck story bargain, but has no real idea of true values.

Steve, it's not the one Malc built, the plenum chamber of Malcs was a work of art, one off billet ally block.

well there's your problem!
he's got at least 6 invoices from demon theives, all with more than one thing on them!
that's 5 grand of the 35 accounted for.
i'd noticed the unregistered bit too. part builts usually sell for under 6k don't they?

It's lashing down out too - perfect test flight conditions.

He could've gotten some proper looking wheel arches though! His wheel don't even fill the things out fully. Also, at a guess, someone
built it for him, so that would add a good few bob to the total.

Doesn't look especially nice does it! There are certainly nicer looking and better finished ones around.... the holeshot engine would be brutal
though... perhaps he lost his license over the course of 6 miles

This thread is really funny! Earlier in the week a Caterham owner was being slated for making comments about an Indy, and now look a you lot slating a
Dax!
If he wants to advertise it for £20k, then that's up to him. If someone wants to pay £20k for it, then that's up to them! It may have cost
him £35k to build as he's probably spent way over £10k on the motor alone, and that's if it's still a 1300. Also, it doesn't
state the spec of the running gear etc., so he could have spent an awful lot on that too.
If you don't want to spend the money don't buy it!

Don't think anyone is slating either Dax or holeshot. Both make quality, if rather expensive, products.
People are taking the p*ss out of someone who's prepared to, if he's to be believed, lose £15,000 after driving 6 miles, and
can't/won't spend £150 on getting a MAC for the thing. Oh and that bonnet bulge doesn't do anything for it
Personally I wouldn't spend half the money on that (or any other car) to be honest.

That's a fair comment about the £15k loss, though there may be unfortunate circumstances behind it....
And even if you don't think that the bonnet bulge particularly suits the car, anyone who has tried any sheel metal work would agree that it is a
nice bit of fabrication!
