Quick online bearing supplier?

I have a biking weekend planned for the bank holliday but one of the bearings in my frame has decided to shatter....

Where is the best place online to order decent quality bearings so that it arives by friday?

it has 6902-2rs stamped on it...is this just the bearing series, or is that the size as well?

Amusingly a search on google shows a company near where I am working tomorow that sells bearings...what are the odds of that!!! Just hope they have that one in stock!

What are the better quality brands? The one that has come out is an NBK...is that good?

I've had bearings from http://www.simplybearings.co.uk before.

Not the cheapest but quick delivery!

The bearing you took out was more an likely an NSK these are not known to be that good at all , try NTN as from experiance they out last most , most towns have a bearing supplier or two .

10 years ago there were about 1000 bearing stockists in the UK so should be easy to find one. That should be a fairly readily available part, but if you ring them the day before then any reputable distributor will be able to get one from a manufacturer or central stocks if it is not in the branch.

The numbers relate to the size, can't remember how though.

The supplier here likes the measurements OD, ID and thickness so he can find a bearing to fit or the old bearing to compare sizes. That price is about right for a single SKF bearing 15 x 28 x 7mm.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
