Locost Badge 2

Hi All,

A little update on the badges that Gaz was thinking of making.

The prototype is nearly done, it is painted in grey primer at the moment, the finished ones will be metal with a polished 7.

The diameter is 52mm

He is making me one and will probably make a few. Will price them when he finishes one. u2u if interested.

Thanks for the U2U's.

We will get back with a price as soon as the casting costs are known.

I'm going to make a wild stab in the dark and say about a tenner.
Bear in mind they will be hand made in metal.

Thanks All

Paul & Gaz

Cast them yourself, locost style

A couple of people have mentioned badges for the back,

Might well have a go at a rear badge in the week so there might be sets going.

Hi Gaz

Personally I'd prefer a slightly larger version of the previous design, say 100mm ish, it would be nice to use to 'balance' the filler cap.

Are you casting in mounting posts?

your not building a locost camper van are you?

I will probably put some mount posts on the back, though mounting tape is very good.

Anyway, i have almost finished the rear badge now, i just need the back fill the '7' before molding.

Thanks

the prototype badges are finished and ready for molding. I have sanded through the primer to show what parts will be polished.

There are 3mm pins on the back that can be used for mounting, or, you can cut them off and use mounting tape.

I will know costs as soon as they are molded and i know how much material will be used for each badge.

I hope you all approve

Finished pics soon.

Thanks

hi chaps

They are getting there.

we molded the originals to produce resin copies and then molded those in the rubber used for the metal casting.

so getting there....

sorry for the delay, but they will be worth the wait.
