don't know the difference in dimensions, but there are wide and narrow body westfields. And they have that horrible fluting type bit down the side of the nose/bonnet/scuttle.

Don't be too hard on Ned - the question changed from Westie to Cateringvan!

Anyroadup - I think the CH nose is lower in height than the Westie - everything about the CH tends to be smaller (space in the footwell, for example!).

Most of the Locost noses out there for sale were moulded from Caterham noses, so they ought to fit a treat.

Not sure about scuttles.

Kind regards,
Darren

When I first started building my Locost I bought a nosecone that, I think, was a Caterham clone. There was no way it was going to fit without significant modification! It tapered across the width very rapidly after the chassis face, and generally wasn't a snug fit.

The one I have now was bought from Triton and is reasonably close to the Westfield pattern (not a clone, but similar in dimensions). It fits perfectly, and all I will have to do is rest it in place and build its mountings around it. Personally I would either buy a Locost-specific nose, or at least a Westie clone.

I managed to fit a genuine westy nose cone to mine, but not without some serious hacking about and even more head scratching Rescued attachment WestyFront.jpg

If you fancy buying a nose, you can get one from me that will fit a book chassis nicely.

Details of them are on www.gtstuning.co.uk

Kind regards,
Darren
