X Flow flywheel and clutch

Anyone know if the flywheel and clutch from a 1300 crossflow will fit straight onto the crank of a 1100 crossflow. The reason I ask is my 1100 only has a 6" clutch but need to change that to the larger 7" as I'm converting it to a 1300.

Also if it does then does anyone have a flywheel hanging around they don't need anymore?

Thanks

No such thing as a 6" clutch in an Escort.
istr only the very early Escort 1100 (ie first 6 months of Mk1 production) used a 6.25" clutch all the rest (except the RS models) used a 7.5" (191mm) clutch.

And Yes the kent xflo flywheels can be swapped between engine sizes.

A thought just occured to me --- are you refering to Xflo engines (usually called Kent engines) not the FWD Valencia engines.

The Valencia engine is not an Xflo they only look similar. RWD and FWD engines have major differences

Hello,

My engine is from november 1971 so beleive it has the smaller clutch - not split the gearbox yet so don't know but thought the smaller clutch came on the 1100 engines until they moved over to Mk2??

Nearly all 1100 Mk1 Escorts had the 7.5" clutch, Ford has so much trouble with the 6.5" clutch it was quietly dropped after 1968, it so rare I only encountered it once in circa 1970 on a F suffix car.
It may have continued in use on car produced at the Ghent plant especially those with the 957cc engine.
