zx9 eng
Hi all. how much does the zx9r eng weigh and is it a cable clutch.

I think about 70 kg, I could lift the engine zx9r build 1998 easy toegether with my brother.
The zx9r engine build from '98 towards 2003 are cable operated clutches.The engine before 98 were clutch hydraulic operated... someone will
correct me if I'm wrong..

Yes, spot on with the clutch, weight, 65-70kg ish. I was able to pick up the engine out the boot of the car to the garage, so I don't think that
it can be more than 70kg or I'm entering for next year Strong Man Competition!

If you want to use this engine try to get the E Series, they have a stronger gearbox than than the C series I have.
I think the E engine is from year 2000.
There is a modification to the C series engine to enhance the gearbox, it's been talked before here on the forum..
