Have you got a spark and fuel?
It should run without the MJ, just on the edis.

If you have spark and fuel check the plug leads are the right way round.

have you tried running it in limp home mode with just the EDIS?? If its not sparking try swapping the wires over on the crank position sensor as a first attempt

sounds like the leads are the wrong way around then. Does the engine turn over on the starter motor ok?? I found my trigger wheel was on 180deg out so it was trying to run on 2 cylinders (and turned over very slowly)

Mine actually ran on 2 cylinders but kept on stalling itself as it was firing in the wrong sequence. Try removing the leads one at a time to see if matters improve at all - you might find 2 are the wrong way around, daft as it may seem

Common fault is the wires to the crankshaft sensor round the wrong way. Worth swapping them over to check.

It wouldnt spark at all if they were the wrong way around. They are correct if its sparking ok at the moment.

Try squirting brake cleaner into the carbs when cranking , if it fires and runs for a few seconds then the ignition is working , if not the ignition may need attention. . Do the plugs get wet? could be too much fuel? . Coil pack should fire cyls 1&4 and 2&3 , might be worth changing the plug leads over if you haven't already tried that?

They will need setting up but generally are good enough to start the car up. Just make sure they are roughly balanced by backing off the idle speed screw enough so that you can see both butterflies are closed and then manually open them - you should see the butterflies open at the same time. 2 1/2 turns on the idle mixture screw should get it started really.

Have you also checked to ensure you are getting fuel into both float chambers and its not something daft like an air lock in the fuel line?? Probably worth popping the idle jets out too - make sure they arent bloked.
