Quickrack suggestions.
I've got a mac1 type zr and the steering is 4.25 turns lock to lock. I went out with some caterham friends today and their racks are 2 turns
lock to lock.
Is there anything cheap and readily available that I could use to get a similar rack.
Thanks
Dan

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Cheers, will the 2.4 escort rack be a straight replacement or will some fabrication be needed?

You will need a quickrack to suit the rack you already have, which on the MAC1 is a Sierra rack. It has been shortened (a piece cut out of the middle)
and then the original internals have been shortened also.
So if you were to get something from RalDes then you would be getting the Sierra QR internals and then shortening them yourself to fit.

I seem to recall Mark got some QR's in earlier in the year. Might be worth a call to see if there are any left.

Hi
I thought MNR where doing the modded sierra racks with the better ratio than the ones that Mac#1 and MK supply. As the ones they supply are still a
2.8 ( i think ) ratio rather than a more sensible 1.9 - 2.4 ratio.
Or did i just dream it .
Cheers matt

I have mailed MNR and they only have the 2.4 escort racks.
Am I right in thinking the "quickest" Sierra rack is 2.8? If so I think i'll have to change it to something quicker.
Is fitting the escort rack an "easy" job?
