ford crossflow 1300

Have got a set of AE double valve springs which I intend to fitt. Have stripped head down and am now rebuilding. The problem is the valve stem oil seal fouls the inner spring. I can fitt them as the inner spring will rest on top of the oil seal but when the engine is running i am sure that the spring will distort the seal as it is soft plastic.

any help anyone please

Have the spring seats been machined for double springs - they need to be flat .

I used A-series (mini) valve oil seals with my Kent engine with double valve springs. The standard ones wouldn't fit as you say
