Anyone fitted an electric water pump to a zetec?

Anyone on here fitted an electic water pump into a zetec? Am thinking is it worth it for a black-top to avoid the belt problems and the pump running the wrong way ?

I'm running one on my car, and have run one on a previous car, both the Craig david thing above. No matter what anyone tells you, you definately need the separate smart controller. Works fine, you need to set it up through experimentation to get it running at the right temperature.

I dont suppose you have any installation photos?

Was it case of blanking off the mechaical water pump and fitting the electic one in-line ?

Can you run an electric pump as an addon to megasquirt?.....Woud kinda make sence...

And also..... If it is linked to your cooling fan.... you could leave the waterpump running until the fan stops.....

I'm sure they are great, but to me it seems like an expensive way to avoid fitting an idler pulley.
