2 LTR TDCI Mondeo 04 Using loads of water
As title says car is using 1-2 ltrs of water a week. There are no obvious signs of a leak. Any known faults with this engine.

Head gasket?
I trust you have not been tempted to top up with plain water, due to loosing the corrosion inhibitor from the coolant

It will, almost certainly be the water pump, only leaks when its running to start with. Our TDCi focus did the same thing

yep water pump and the two small hoses that come out of it go soft and can weep, common prob on the transits too
