That decision not to have a passenger ride with Jonathon seems like a better one every time I think of it.
Don't get me wrong - he's superb, but I would have died of fright.

Dodgy!

I've had a busted leg (karting at Silverstone) , and that makes my legs ache, the way the car heads towards the armco on a couple of occasions!!!

James, honestly don't know the real answer to that one. Put it this way, it doesn't seem to make much difference.

couple of silly questions about hillcliming in general.

why didn't he go on the green light? (or is it a case of green = go when you're ready?)

and why do hillclimb cars always have that bit sticking up on the front left?

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

in hillclimb and sprinting you go after the green light in your own time and the bit sticking up is a timing strut which breaks the timing beam at the start and finish of each run

Specially fitted racing suit trousers.

Like most successful motorsport competitors they seem to be able to switch off the part of the brain that says "if a tyre blows out here I'll hit a tree and die"
