You might need some offroad tyres if you're all gonna race against the horses......

Its a motorbike jumble held in and around the main stand.
There is about 6 jumbles a year held here, and car parts creep in on a few of the stalls.I've bought nuts bolts and switches here, nose cone indicators and goggles for the no windscreen brigade.
Bike engine locost builders would get there lump here no probs

Hi Bob,

Only just read this post- almost too late!
Think I'll try and make it down from Guildford. Mind if I give you a call when I get there? It'd really be great to actually meet some other Locosters!

Seeya,

James

soz i didn't make it guys. Didn't fancy venturing out to the garage in that rain let alone down to Kempton.

How many of you generally turn up? Thinking of alternative locations.

We had a grand total of 3,myself,conrod and chris janes.
not bad considering the weather,we concluded with a mug of tea and a chat in my garage.
We are looking for a venue for a monthly meeting,so suggestions welcome.
We have a possible location, just needs checking if suitable.

Hey guys,

Totally unrelated but me and my brother are planning to go to Stoneleigh this year if it's on, wether the cars finished or not. It's usually the sunday monday of the May day bank hols. Are any of you guys planning on going this year if so we could meet up. Usually a big presence from clubs and manufacturers here and dare I say it, the best kit car show event in the world. Ever. Well thats what the kit mags say.

Dunc.

I'll be there,camping all w/end.
It is by far the best show,at least there are showers and a beer shop.
What more do you need!!
The wife stays at home as well.

I'll go I expect. Not been for two years! Perhaps we can get a LocostBuilders stand going? Usually the shows give free stands to non-profit ppl (SpeedCentral - my other website - gets stands at lots of shows)

Any takers??

Hi Guys,

Well, I did make it to Kempton but I made the error of taking my girlfriend with me and after two hours she was so cold and wet that I was told I'd get dumped if I didn't take her home- so sorry for not adding to the numbers of the Locost contingent.

So, go on then, anyone get any bargains? I thought most of the new stuff was pretty pricey and way out of my budget- £150 for a speedo is a little more than I want to pay!

I got a Sierra Haynes and some bike lights for front indicators- it'll be awhile till I need them but I couldn't go all that way and not buy anything! Could I!? :-)
Then had to spend about 9hours Sat and Sun clearing the garage so I could clean them up!
Oh well!

So close yet so far.
Never mind we will have to meet up at a show this year.
On the weather front i think you've had a result!!
I took wifey down to goodwood fest of speed one year, and it poured down all w/end.
She vowed never again, BOYS WEEKEND THEN!!!

Guys

Any West London meet planned for this weekend? I suppose my place is a possibility for a temporary meeting place so long as there are no more than 5-6 cars coming. (I live in Denham by the way, about 2 miles from M40 J1).

Anyone interested? Leave a reply here and I'll email you directions.
