Try this...

Midland Wheels

Doesn't help much - they don't show the offer on the web site! I don't know whether they're still doing it...

I just rang Midland Wheels, the baby cub seats are still in stock £50 each incl, and so I've ordered a couple with the runners (£20 each) and the guy said they will arrive tomorrow. If they do I'll post a comment about them

Look forward to your views - the seats are the last 'big chunk of money' purchase for my car... everything else is bits & pieces.

If they're OK, then I have the money ready & waiting!

cheers,

David

I didn't buy the runners for them.
I'm going to bolt directly to the floor (there are 4 nuts welded to the steel frame - very handy).
The diemsions are as per the advert.
The seat is very narrow - 13" wide at the lower back and 12 " wide along the base.
As I said - they are comfy and seem well made - but I supose they need a few miles to tell properly.
The web site for midland wheels is www.midlandwheels.co.uk but these seats don't feature on the site. Once ordered I had them 2 days later.
I think that for £50 / seat its got to be better than making your own.

I'll try and get some close up pics done soon and post them here.

Has anyone got any pictures they could post in the photos section, or email me?

The seats (Midland Wheels Baby Cubs)arrived yesterday afternoon, look ok, very narrow, especially the bases, but seem strong enough and well made, reasonably comfortable despite the narrowness. £150 including two sets of runners, VAT and carriage
I'm happy

John

How much do the runners raise the seat?

I was planning to use runners on the driver's seat, and matching spacers on the passenger side.

cheers,

David

(I'm dangerously close to placing an order - about an hour or two!)

It's difficult to tell, exactly, but it is going to be at least 40mm, maybe 45, it'ds a quesion of providing enough clearance for the mechanism to operate. To be sure I would have to completely assemble the mechanism to a seat and I'm a bit busy with other stuff at the moment
