The other thing that I am considering is the ultra reflective tape that is used emergency responce vehicles,.. red at the rear, a yellow strip down the sides,. anything that helps people see a bright yellow car,.. albeit not very big has to be an advantage.

As I was passing Maplins while out today, I called in and bought one. They didn't know what I was talking about until I showed them the link and they traced it via the part number; 2 in stock but no location... Turned out they were new in and still in the delivery case.

What isn't obvious is that the mounting face is at an angle which is a bit of a pain. You can see it in the drawing

I'll have a play around at work and see if I can come up with a solution.

I bought two of the maplins ones on Thursday. I've fitted them to plates in the top corner of my rollbar.

Looks great and the 10deg angle inclines them back down towards eye level.

Really happy with how bright they are and how they've turned out.

Ben Copeland has done the same thing and has finished photos. Ben?

Seeing as they're 52mm like the smaller gauges I had an idea that might work for mounting. Trouble is the one I want (now I've seen it) is a bit pricey.

MUST RESIST...
