wilwood brake kits

hello,

i know it will have covered before, but im sure there was a group buy on the brake kits, any chance of having another one?
and what kits are people using? ive a just over 500kg cec with 175bhp, vented or solid kits? i run stock m16 callipers with mintex pads, or should i keep my disk and just change the callipers to the wilwood ones that should be lighter

I wouldnt mind replacing my sierra units for wilwoods front and rear (with handbrake).
Far too expensive for a single purchase, so a group buy might save me some money??

In answer to the question above, i reckon the standard calipers are more than enough to stop 500Kg if they are clean and working efficiently. the trouble is (as i have got) when they start to corrode, and the pistons covered in crap, they get a bit lazy. You dont want brakes too efficient, or they will lock up every time you think about the brakes.

Kindest Regards,
Richard.

Brake power wise I would guess not loads depending on an appropriate master cylinder for each, however a nice decrease in unsprung weight

I organised a group buy on powerlite kits with Rally Design a few months ago. Very easy to set up, they were offering about 20% discount even for small groups of 3+. The guy I dealt with was called Scott, very helpful chap.

Hi, ~I would also be interested.
I have Tiger Avon on standard Cortina uprights and would need a complete kit including disks. Car is about 600kg in road trim with Sierra 9" rear drums.

thanks let me know if this progresses
