Of course it could just be a ruse ... and he doesn't really know who I am.
In fact the ONLY way he COULD is if he is also webmaster on one of the other boards that I might use.
Or someone else is using the same ISP as me, and the range is similar ?

Not true I'm afraid. There are far more ways of tracking people down than just looking at IP ranges. Hardly accurate is it? Using your
computer on an NHS network is interesting tho
