Agreed, however,

Turn off the SSID broadcast (Then they cant see your router)

Use Mac Address filtering as Gav says.
and only list the MAC addresses of your own PC's.

Use WPA encryption with the longest allowable password, and the highest encryption bit rate, 64, 128, 256 etc.

DO NOT USE WEP encryption, its crap and very easily broken, its insecure, and almost not worth using. Most kids can crack WEP with tools off the internet.

Just my 2d worth.

ok so thanks for being helpful

but all my stuff was plug and play Im ok on computers

but the above is all jargon

I had to put in a code which was on the back of my phone hub

surely this is adequate

I havent got a lcue about macs or ssid's
etc
