Hole in MK chassis where steering column goes through
There is a hole in the MK chassis (a big round hole) that the steering column goes through to attach to the linkage bar.
I need something to go in the hole to stop the steering column having play in it.
does that make sense?

use the original Sierra steering bush, should comprise of 3 items. A plastic cylinder with a triangular hole in it for the column, a large rubber
bush the fits around the outside of the plastic part and goes in the hole and a large metal disc with a triangular hole in it which keeps the hole
assembly together as it's a tight fit on the column.
If you haven't got it they should be available from Ford.

You need the steering column bush from a sierra. It consists of a rubber grommet and 2 plastic parts. About £4 on ebay.

Do a search for steering column bearing , made a huge difference to my car when I fitted it instead of the standard Sierra bush . Make self centering
a lot better as it doesn't bind on the column
