Has anyone had any experience with this company
http://order.1and1.co.uk/?__reuse=1342121275341
Looking for a domain and a company to host a website. My daughter is starting her own business and would like a simple web site (No online shop or the
like) but wants a proper domain and be able to update it herself. Any ideas?
I use 1&1 for a website for work (needs windows server) and they are OK but they are more expensive than my usual hosting provider and when I
first went with them it took them 10 days to sort out a problem I was having.
I always use http://www.orchardhosting.com for hosting and can't recommend them highly enough. Good value for money and a very quick response to
any problems or questions you might have.
Someone else asked a similar question the other day in fact

But before i disgrace myself completely, one quick question?
Whickh of the available apps (scripts!) is going to be easiest to get myself a hompage and a few links?
I seem to have installe Joomla and thats freaked me out., I've installed gallery 3 and that's got me a picture thats now viewable by the world, but I don't feel very in control yet
BTW my www is www.plusnine.co.uk
Mines on 000.webhosts - its free and seems very good.
My domain name is registerered through fasthosts.
I put the work website on hostpapa. Unlimited download, unlimited e-mail addresses etc.. All in all pretty damn good. Cheap as well... And they're carbon neutral which keeps the green brigade happy...
Orchard for me too.
I run my own server and host my own sites/domains, but it's not exactly easy to set up to be fair. Cheap as chips though!

I'm with hostpapa for a forum/club site and they are pretty good though there's occasional database errors - but never anything that seems to affect visibility.
