Extend Brick Built Garage

Hello,
I have a substantial seperate brick built garage, with a knackered lean too at the rear of the garage, which is about 4.5 foot by 8ft. What I would like to do is knock the lean too down and extend the garage 7ft back by the full width of the garage about 11 foot and also extend the full height tiled roof to cover it.

Would I need planning permision?

Cheers
David

I have had a quick read of the planning laws link regarding outbuildings on the thread "planning permission for a timber garage", it looks like I wouldn't need permission, but I would like confirmation by someone who actually knows!

If in doubt, simply ask your local planning department :-)

The only people who's opinion really counts is the local planning dept - its free to ask, then you have it in writing too. Imagine if you took someones word for it on the internet and had to demolish later?!

Call the local planning office and ask them to come over to discuss it. Mine did and they were very helpful.

Kindest Regards,
