I need to get a return into a fabricated aluminium fuel tank. I haven't taken it out of the car yet, but I am assuming that in the top there will
be fuel gauge sender plate of the customary size.
I'm wondering if anybody makes a fitting that could be fitted into a drilled home in the aluminium which would then result in a non-leaking and
safe way of returning fuel to the tank.
If they don't, they ought to.
I really don't want to have to get this tank welded, with all the hassles that will involve.
All thoughts and info welcome
John
There was a link not long back to an aircraft parts site that do a rubber bung with a metal outlet for a leak free seal..

i used a hydrolic part from protec.co.uk
it was basically a large bolt with a hole in and a nut with 2 sealing washers. worked a treat.. you just need to be able to get a spanner in the tank
to tighten it
