99 R1 clocks

Hi my Mk Indy r1 has been off road for a few year due to buying a house starting to get car sorted back on the road came across a problem the clocks keep doing like a self dino every 15 20 seconds What a mean by self dino when you first turn Car On the rev conter starts at bottom of rev counter to red line it keeps doing this on tickover like a say every 15 20 seconds any help would be very gratefull thanks.

Don't understand. You need a few full stops and commas in there!

What's 'dino'?

Do you mean the gauges are 'pulsing' (flicking their full range)?

All the clocks, or just the tacho?

Makes perfect sense...

The R1 clocks have a diagnosis thing built into them, if its going up and down its normal indcative of a fault. The needle should stop at a certain point, this indicates the fault
Your tach will display 3 different diagnostic codes. They cycle every 6 seconds. you can safely run your engine w/the diagnostic code displaying. the engine codes per the service manual are as follows:

3000 rpms: throttle position sensor
7000 rpms: exup related
8000 rpms: fuel level indicator light
